The Workshop
Behind Atelier Alcoves lies a simple intention: to create spaces that feel good to live in — thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted.
about
My name is Charlotte Bissot, founder of Atelier Alcoves. I design and make bespoke furniture that combines acoustic comfort, aesthetics and durability.
My approach blends considered design, artisan know-how and attentive listening to every need. Each project is created to fit harmoniously into its environment, bringing real functional value and a calmer atmosphere. I love well-thought-out projects, meticulous finishes and sincere collaborations.
my background
Before founding Atelier Alcoves, I spent eight years working in office furniture, where I learned to understand both the technical and aesthetic constraints of professional spaces. There, I developed solid experience in spatial planning and project management, which I later deepened as a project manager in digital communication. This dual background — combining design, coordination and technical precision — now allows me to approach each project with rigour, creativity and an eye for detail.
my philosophy
Every project is an encounter. I believe in dialogue, co-creation, and an artisan approach where every detail matters. I choose my materials carefully — for their quality, durability and lower environmental impact.
My goal is to design pieces that naturally integrate into their surroundings while enhancing the acoustic and visual comfort of the space.
The workshop
My workshop is a place of creation and collaboration, where each project takes shape by hand — from sketch to finishing touches. I work independently and regularly collaborate with architects, interior designers, carpenters and other craftspeople, depending on the project’s needs.
Most of my work is local, but I remain open to specific projects that require a bespoke approach — wherever they may be.
