Le Boudoir Beauty Salon

Tufted bench

Transforming a window ledge into a comfortable and welcoming waiting area

Le Boudoir Salon de Beauté

2022

This project was Atelier Alcoves’ very first official commission, making it especially meaningful to me. When Le Boudoir moved into its new beauty salon in central Liège, a comfortable waiting area was needed. A wide, low window ledge offered potential, but its shape was complex.

The solution: a custom-made tufted bench, perfectly following the contours of the adjacent furniture. That elegant rounded cabinet was lovingly crafted by the client’s partner. The seat combines foams of different densities for both structure and softness, upholstered in Donna microfibre by Buvetex, chosen for its soft touch, durability and easy maintenance. The bench is tufted with fabric-covered buttons and finished with a simple piping. Styled with cushions and decorative accessories selected by Julie French (@julie_french_loft ), the bench invites calm and comfort.

Two restored armchairs reupholstered in Whooosh colours to create a cosy welcome corner.
